When UK entered the common market the following tradeblocks did not exist, NAFTA, TPP, MERCOSUR, AFCFTA, EUAS, EAEU, GAFTA, EU and so on. Adding two growing internally centered economies in form of China and India. The idiots that think that tradedeals that benefits the UK are easy will have a steep learning curve. To stand and say I do not belive that the UK will lose billions is madness in such a case you must know. He is risking the economy of an entire nation.

Britain urgently needs to rebuild its armed forces. The state should be spending at least 130 billion pounds each year on ships, men and equipment. as things stand we could not defend our own shores from a Belgian invasion let alone a European or joint European/ Russian invasion. only a no deal brexit will free enough funds to meet this need. we currently contribute 19 billion pounds per year to the EU, some of which goes towards the European armed force.

Max Harbig says:

Special relationship? As long ago as 1918 Woodrow Wilson declared the following when visiting Britain. So nothing can be depended on when US and UK interests clash, or are even when they are substantially unaligned. Nobody should be taken aback by America First after all in creating the Empire it was always Britain First wasn't it? “You must not speak of us who come over here as cousins, still less as brothers; we are neither. Neither must you think of us as Anglo-Saxons, for that term can no longer be rightly applied to the people of the US. Nor must too much importance in this connection be attached to the fact that English is our common language… no, there are only two things which can establish and maintain closer relations between your country and mine: they are community of ideals and interests.”

Mortimer Duke says:
