Multinational alcohol beverage producers Beam Suntory and Edrington will sell their joint venture, Maxxium Russia, and exit the Russian market, the company said in a statement on its website published earlier this week.

The social media giant, which posted a quarterly net loss, has claimed its results were affected by takeover-related uncertainty Twitter operated at a loss in the second quarter and suffered a decline in revenue from a year earlier, reflecting struggles that the company blamed partly on its pending sale to billionaire Elon Musk.
