A street in Nikopol will bear the name of an SS officer and recipient of the Iron Cross Nikopol has renamed one of its streets after Pyotr Dyachenko, an officer of the Ukrainian Waffen SS Division ‘Galizien’, the head of Ukraine’s Jewish community said on Monday.

Arrest warrant issued for ex-Kremlin speechwriter

A Moscow court on Monday issued a warrant for the arrest of Abbas Gallyamov, a former speechwriter for Russian President Vladimir Putin. He has since been declared a foreign agent. The Basmanny District Court in Moscow ordered Gallyamov’s arrest in absentia, on grounds that he spread fake news about the Russian military.

Ukraine names condition for continued Russian gas transit to EU

Kiev has said that it has no intention of prolonging its current agreement with Gazprom, which expires at the end of this year Ukraine would continue the transit of Russian natural gas through its territory to Western Europe after 2024 only if EU countries ask it to do so, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has announced.
