The EU is planning to increase liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports from Nigeria amid concerns that supply from Russia may be cut, according to the deputy director general of the European Commission’s Energy Department.
Beijing’s clarification of its stance on commerce with the European Commission comes after the bloc warned of a “growing trade imbalance” China has invited EU member states to take advantage of its “mega market,” responding after the European Commission warned it could soon deploy protectionist measures to guard local industry from Chinese firms.
