China reacts to US visit to Taiwan

An American delegation led by a major critic of Beijing traveled to the island to reiterate US support China has urged the United States to cease all “interference” in Taiwan’s affairs after a group of US lawmakers met with local leader Tsai Ing-wen.

China’s oil imports surge to five-month high

The world’s largest oil importer, China, purchased 43.14 million tons of crude in October, equating to 10.2 million barrels per day, according to data released by the country’s customs service on Monday. October oil imports were 4% greater than in September and the highest since May.

Russia's grain harvest forecast upgraded

This year’s production is expected to be higher than earlier estimates, market researcher IKAR has said Russian farmers are projected to reap up to 137 million tons of grain, including 88 million tons of wheat this year, according to the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR).
