Germany held back weapons for Ukraine – media

Berlin has only sent two shipments of weapons to Ukraine over the past nine weeks, and only of smaller items such as anti-tank missiles and land mines, according to documents obtained by the German media conglomerate Axel Springer. The pro-NATO company accused Chancellor Olaf Scholz of doing Russia’s bidding.

Let men pay to leave Ukraine – government adviser

Able-bodied men could pay the state to legally leave Ukraine, the official has suggested Ukrainians who are eligible for military service should be allowed to leave the country in defiance of an active travel ban – if they can pay several thousand dollars, an Interior Ministry adviser suggested on Monday.

Russia’s biggest bank blocked from SWIFT

Russian banking giant Sberbank has been disconnected from the SWIFT global financial messaging system under a new set of sanctions approved by European Union leaders on Monday. “This sanctions package includes other hard-hitting measures: de-Swifting the largest Russian bank Sberbank,” European Council chief Charles Michel announced following the EU summit.
